LCR Embedded Systems has an exciting role for a Field Application Engineer (FAE) that possesses both strong technical and sales acumen. As an LCR Field Application Engineer, you will be an integral part of the customer facing team, focused on driving the sales cycle towards a design win. This FAE is responsible for giving product presentations to the customers, describing how LCR’s engineering support and products provide the optimum solution to their application.

The FAE will work in a team environment with direct sales, mechanical, and electrical design teams, manufacturers’ representatives, and operations to achieve design wins. The FAE will assist customers in new design efforts, design validation, problem solving, and forward engineering. As part of the design win process, the LCR FAE will be responsible for the coordination, publication, and submittal of LCR design proposals to the end customer.

The FAE will remove any technical or support barriers to the adoption of LCR’s products, and will grow sales and revenue by driving a preference for LCR’s technologies and solutions. Must posses the skill set required for building and growing technical relationship with customers’ engineering, architecture, and development organizations, including senior level management.

Critical to the success of this role is the ability to bridge LCR engineering and field and ultimately customers by communicating strategies and managing a tight feedback loop across multiple groups. The LCR FAE must have the ability to be a consensus builder across challenging engineering groups, sales teams, and management.

This position requires initiative and problem-solving for success in a complex market where market conditions and product requirements are oftentimes fluid.

Must develop a clear understanding of LCR’s product architecture and product strategy while employing LCR business practices, Ts & Cs, and a strong Business Code of Ethics.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS Degree in Engineering;
  • 3-8 years’ experience in engineering or applications support, preferably with embedded system architecture;
  • Proficient at mid-senior level engineering (VP Engineering, CTO) communication and relationship building;
  • Experience in embedded systems design and/or OEM solutions architecture;
  • Experience in one or more of the following verticals and use cases: Military, UAV, Medical, Rail, and Regulated industries;
  • Familiar with electrical design tools Mentor Graphics PADS ES Suite 2015,Cadence Or CAD Capture v9,Visio Standard 2010;
  • Familiar with mechanical design tools Solid Works 2015SolidWorks Simulation Premium 2015SolidWorks Flow Simulation 2015Kubotek Key Creator v7.0.1AutoCAD 2005;
  • Knowledgeable in all phases of the product development life cycle from requirements through design, implementation and integration;
  • Demonstrated capacity to qualify and develop new business as a trusted advisor;
  • Ability to express concepts clearly and precisely in written and verbal communication with customers, and internal LCR key stakeholders;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are needed in order to prioritize tasks in a very interrupt-driven environment; and
  • Ability to work collaboratively across LCR corporate and regional manufacturer’s representatives and to architect account strategies that provide demonstrable value to the customer.
