LCR Embedded Systems, a leading provide of chassis, backplanes, and integrated systems, announced today the receipt of a $6 million order from a major defense contractor for two hundred rugged AdvancedTCA chassis.
LCR Embedded Systems was the first supplier to introduce the AdvancedTCA form factor, initially designed to support telecommunications applications, to military environments. The AdvancedTCA architecture allow defense contractors to use high-performance blades in their architecture, which compared to other architectures decreases weight, size, and power. The order will ship during 2016 and 2017.
